Home/About
Evlo is a technology company that builds and runs its own products — Living Room Games, Pucks.pro, and the Moodle Uptime Monitor — backed by deep expertise in Moodle, DevOps, software development, and platform operations.
Evlo builds products that depend on deeper technical expertise across learning platforms, cloud infrastructure, software systems, and operational workflows: places where reliability, scale, maintainability, and integration quality matter.
Rather than doing a little of everything, Evlo is built around specialized technical depth: Moodle development, administration, and integrations, AWS-focused DevOps, platform automation, systems integration, and custom software development.
Development, administration, plugins, integrations, monitoring, upgrades, performance tuning, and long-term platform improvement for Moodle environments.
Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, deployment workflows, monitoring, and platform operations designed to improve reliability and operability.
Selling training, certifications, and digital learning products through architectures that connect storefronts, payments, and learner access.
Custom software, cross-platform products, integrations, internal tooling, and engineering for complex technical systems.
Evlo’s approach is grounded in technical depth and real-world operability. That means understanding the actual platform, infrastructure, or workflow need first, then shaping the right technical solution around it.
In practice, that can mean developing a custom Moodle plugin, improving deployment workflows, building an enterprise integration, automating a release pipeline, or reducing operational friction through automation. The focus is always on building solutions that are maintainable, scalable, and useful over time.
Evlo is built on the idea that strong technical work should support the full lifecycle of a platform, not just the initial implementation. That includes how systems are developed, deployed, monitored, maintained, and improved over time.
This is especially important in environments like Moodle, cloud infrastructure, and integrated software systems, where short-term fixes often create long-term complexity. Evlo is designed to solve the right technical problems with a practical, maintainable approach.
Developed and published tool_upmon, an open-source Moodle plugin that integrates with UptimeRobot to monitor availability, cron health, and maintenance mode.
Built Living Room Games as a web app and an Android app from one unified codebase, with fully automated CI/CD for every platform.
Built a connected Shopify and Moodle architecture that unified digital course delivery with storefront operations and automated learner access after purchase.
Evlo was founded by Frederick Harju, a technology leader, software engineer, and systems architect with over 25 years of Linux experience and more than 15 years of Moodle expertise.
Frederick’s background includes software engineering, Moodle architecture, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, systems integration, and platform operations. Over his career, his work has included scaling Moodle-based platforms in large enterprise environments, building custom plugins and enterprise integrations, improving automation and SDLC workflows, and maintaining complex environments in production.
As the founder of Evlo, Frederick brings the technical depth and hands-on experience that shape the company’s focus and approach.
